Back through downtown Council Bluffs on my way to the Lewis & Clark site...

 

 

On August 3, 1804 beneath the bluffs at this site, Lewis & Clark held council with the Otowe and Missouri Indians. This was the first official encounter with Indians on the expedition...

 

       

 

   

 

At this point atop the bluffs at Council Bluffs I held council with myself, pondering my first year in Bigfoot... for it was on this day one year ago that my life with Bigfoot began...
