Bigfoot Day, June 8, 2004

The day I dreamed of for 3 years finally arrived!

My little lodge at Bellevue Pointe... ready for Operation Bigfoot Move-in...

I took the bus to Microsoft Building 50 and worked a couple of hurried hours... then hightailed it to the FRWY bus stop at NE 40th St and the 520 for the ride to the Bigfoot dealership at Lake City (north Seattle)...

The bus leg to downtown Seattle... over Lake Washington and by Lake Union...

Changing busses in downtown Seattle...

From the bus stop on Lake City Way, a block south of Carl North Country Bigfoot dealership...

Carl North Country, purveyor of fine Bigfoot rigs...

The checkout & technical run-through took a couple of hours...

The Carl North Men... Jerry Anderson, my salesman, in the white trousers...

Pulling off the lot with 366 miles on the odometer. Said 366 miles is roughly the distance between the Bigfoot factory in Armstrong, BC, and Seattle. This Bigfoot was brand new, factory fresh...

As I was about to drive away, I kept thinking that at the last minute someone would run out and say "Stop! There's been a mistake! You can't have it!" Amazingly, that didn't happen and I was able to drive away. This Bigfoot was mine!

My maiden drive was around the north end of Lake Washington to Juanita Beach, where I got out and pondered what I had just done...

Then I drove on back to my lodge at Bellevue Pointe to commence with Operation Bigfoot Move-in. John stopped by to help me savor the occasion...
