Day 7 - Monday, April 4, 2005 - Virginia City and Lake Tahoe

 

My Reno morning alarm was the sweet sound of a pavement saw... the morning quickly improved with a triple tall Americano from the Starbucks next door...

 

     

 

Up the mountains from Reno on SR 341 toward Virginia City...

At this spot I stopped for my late morning trail snack... tea and a sandwich... finishing off my last jar of Duke's Mayonnaise...

Something draws me to Virginia City. Countless times, before I had Bigfoot, I imagined being right here and staying a good long while...

I had my luncheon, a buffalo burger, at the Palace Saloon. I picked up a Frankie Laine collection in a neighboring shop...

 

     

 

I quickly lost my $20.00 in the Palace slots and moved on...
