Early morning at Cameron Store, Montana...

 

       

 

My early morning alarm clock was a woodpecker...

 

Cameron Store...

 

 

Lonesome Dove Ranch...

 

 

I don't know who this log cabin builder is, but I do consider him to be a lucky man...

 

 

Continuing south on Montana 287... I came across a heard of elk... hundreds, all told. Back at the Cameron Store Blue Moon Saloon the night before a couple of patrons described recently seeing an elk heard passing Cameron that numbered into the thousands...

 

 

Proceeding south along the Madison River...

 

     

 

 

Raynold's Pass...

 

 

Earthquake Area... in the Gallatin National Forest...

 

       

 

       

 

 

 

West Yellowstone...

 

       

 

     

 

 

Yellowstone National Park... Wyoming...

I exited Yellowstone to the north, back into Montana...

 

       

 

       

 

       

 

   

 

 

 

I followed the Yellowstone River north into Montana... to Billings...

 

       

 

     

 

I put in for the night at Billings, camping on the high airport plateau overlooking the town...
