Down the eastern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains and across the drainages of the Tuckasegee and Broad rivers...

 

       

 

Kings Mountain, Gastonia, McAdenville, and Belmont Abbey...

 

     

 

Entering the Catawba River basin and Mecklenburg County...

 

   

Upon reaching the Charlotte area I went to Sister Jan's house at Mountain Island Lake where I was met at the corner by Sister Jan, Engineer Matt, my nephews Will & Ryan, and Smithers the dog...

 

 

At Mountain Island Lake, outside Charlotte, this trip reached its end, with the odometer showing 33591.0 miles. The odometer reading at the beginning of the trip, back along the waters of the Pacific Ocean at Seattle's Alki Beach, was 29992.1 miles. Therefore, this trip covered 3598.9 miles...

 

 

From Mountain Island Lake I was escorted by Sister Jan, Engineer Matt, and Will & Ryan across Charlotte to Strawberry Hill, to finally reunite with my beloved Mother...
