Day 14 - Monday, April 11 - Los Angeles to Las Vegas

Morning at Ventura...

Down the coast toward Malibu...

Malibu...

Upon reaching the Santa Monica pier I made the great turn east. Since leaving Seattle my general direction had been southward, down to the Los Angeles area. From here on out my general direction would be eastward across the southern tier to the east coast...

Northwest LA to Beverly Hills...

Beverly Hills...

I searched the Bel-Air area for an address... 750 Bel Air Rd, to be exact - The Clampett Mansion. I found said address to be completely obscured by landscaping... no sign of Granny, Jed, Jethro, or Elly May...

To Simi Valley and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Gravesite...

The Reagan Library, at Simi Valley...

www.reaganlibrary.com

A piece of the fallen Berlin Wall. More than any other individual, Reagan brought that wall down!

Ronald Reagan's gravesite...

The Reagan complex is extraordinarily inspiring, just as the man himself was...

Memorial book for Pope John Paul II...

On through the Reagan complex...

After touring the complex I sat in Bigfoot pondering the great man. I consider Ronald Reagan the greatest public man of my lifetime.

Back to central Los Angeles and to the eastern outskirts...

The California desert... heading toward Las Vegas...

Into Nevada...

Tea with Atsuko-san, then dinner at Sushi-Mon with Atsuko and her workmate Berry...

Atsuko, ever the songbird, entertained during the post dinner Bigfoot ride with renditions of "Country Roads" and "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina"...

After letting Atsuko and Berry off I drove down the Las Vegas Strip...

I put in for the evening just off the Boulder Strip...
