Approaching Charlotte... |
Beloved Mother dropped-in at the Charlotte airport to spend the half hour layover with me! |
At the Charlotte airport, just prior to the short flight to Savannah... and the taxi over to Hilton Head... |
A little pink boarding house, in Columbia, South Carolina... |
I did sit an an exquisite table (imported from China) at the Crazy Japanese Buffet in Charlotte, where I enjoyed a nice lunch with Hiroko... |
And the old boys did gather... at the China Bistro... Chip, Brad, Randy, Bob, Pete... |
We crossed (at 37,000 feet) the Missouri River in the vicinity of Bismarck, North Dakota, just south of where the Missouri makes its big turn south from the west. This is the land where Lewis and Clark constructed Fort Mandan and spent the winter of 1804-1805 amongst the Mandan Indians. I reached this same locale by land on July 31, 2000 on my cross-country drive to Seattle from Charlotte. |
The Bitterroot Range... Idaho... |
The Columbia River, and the Cascade Mountains... |
