Day 15 - Sojourn To Durham...  Carina, and Ward...

   

 

Not knowing what lay in store for me up Tobacco Road, I took lunch at the venerable Crazy Buffet before leaving Charlotte...

 

Having safely arrived at Carina's, Tugger the cat immediately took up on my chest...

 

     

 

Carina had big plans for our dinner and she started her preparations early on...

 

Carina's favorite dining establishment...

 

After dinner, Carina attempted to redeem herself by showing me local historical markers...

Next we stopped in for a pleasant visit with Jeff Hart. Jeff's place is full of his two passions, music and baseball... three passions, counting the cat. Guitars everywhere... amps, keyboards, a dobro, even a big bass fiddle. For a nice nostalgic touch, Jeff played an old Christmas album on his recently acquired vintage record player...

       

 

 

 

The evening continued with a delightful visit with Ward and Jane at Stately Ward Manor... where I beheld the Wardian Effect...

     

 

And the show continued back at Carina's...
