Saturday Morning, May 26 This is Norm, an acquaintance at Crossroads Starbucks. Norm recently turned 90 and is a WWII veteran. Norm flew B-24's in the Pacific Theater during WWII, and over Germany after the war during the relief/occupation period. In the 50's Norm was stationed at a base in Greenville, South Carolina, and he worked for the FAA after that. It is a pleasure and an honor to listen to the stories that this gentleman can tell... |

Wednesday, May 30 I was standing in a park near Microsoft Advanta this morning when I spotted what looked like a Red-headed Woodpecker... which in these parts means that it was probably a Pileated Woodpecker. The bird disappeared before I could get a camera out so I had to settle for a shot of a building with a reflective glass exterior... |

I passed by the house in Eastgate where Ai-chan lived before her return to Japan in 2010. Funny... an RV was parked just a few feet beyond where I picked Ai-chan up so many times in Bigfoot. The yard has had a serious haircut! |
