Back at the
Bigfoot factory in Armstrong. Bigfoot was back in tip-top shape... |

Upon leaving
the Bigfoot factory I stopped at the
Village Cheese in Armstrong, where I enjoyed a cone of butter
pecan ice cream with my coffee.... |
|
From
Armstrong, BC I headed north, toward Salmon Arm. I picked up the
Trans Canada Highway around Salmon Arm and proceeded in a westerly
direction along the
South Thompson River... |

I stopped at
this spot near Monte Creek and spent a pleasant couple of hours
traipsing around the area. This place is about as far north as my
wanderings have taken me. I imagined Alaska... still hundreds of
miles to the north... |
I broke from my reveries
and headed down 97 south, back toward
Kelowna...
From Kelowna I proceeded south toward Osoyoss...
|
|
South of
Kelowna I allowed a hitch-hiker on board. She said she was from
Vancouver, BC and was on her way to do field work at an Okanogan
farm 20 miles down the road. I let her out at her destination and
proceeded on toward Osoyoos... |
The 2007 Bigfoot Owner's Club rally was
taking place at a park in
Osoyoos, BC and I drove through to take a look. I saw many nice
rigs, but not a person was in sight...
Crossing the Canadian / US
border between Osoyoss, BC and
Oroville, Washington...
South from the Canadian border on Highway 97...
through Washington State, along the
Okanogan River...
The Cariboo Trail...
Proceeding south along the Okanogan... passing a
remote satellite facility in the Okanagan desert...
The site of
Fort Okanagan, where the Okanagan River joins the
Columbia River...
The Confluence of the Okanagan and Columbia
Rivers...
Proceeding on... through Brewster, WA...
Along the Columbia River...
