Day 1: Saturday, Sept. 8, Seattle Area to Diablo Canyon, WA

 

 

It came to pass that Bigfoot needed a little roof work that was best accomplished in the Bigfoot factory, at Armstrong, British Columbia. I was eager to see the Bigfoot facility and to meet some of the folks responsible for the fine rigs.   I pushed off from Edmonds, just north of Seattle...                                   I-5 North, toward Canada...                                   East on SR-20, the North Cascades Highway, to the Cascade Mountains, following the Skagit River...                                     The George Powerhouse at Newhalem, on the upper Skagit River...         The Gorge Dam, on the upper Skagit River...     Continuing east on the North Cascade Highway...     I camped southeast of the Diablo Dam at the Colonial Creek Campground, on Diablo Lake...
