Day 4 - Steven's Creek Canyon To Seattle

A rare sea level snowfall for the San Francisco Bay Area...

Morning tea at Fantasia, Cupertino Village...

Stevens Creek Canyon in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains - just a few miles to the east of Silicon Valley. The climate goes from arid in the valley, especially the eastern reaches, to nearly rainforest on the mountain sides, in the space of a few miles. The chants of the Benedictine Monks of Santo Domingo de Silos played in Chieko's car...

Lunch at Clark's Charcoal Broiler in Los Altos, then a pleasant walk around the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose...

Then back to the San Jose airport for my flight back to Seattle...

The Bay Area lights fade...

The next morning, back in sodden Seattle...
