I left my work at mid-afternoon and drove east from Seattle-Bellevue into the Cascade Mountains, ending up at Roslyn, Washington. At Roslyn I dinned at Washington State's oldest operating saloon, The Brick (also of Northern Exposure fame).
 
First I stopped at Snoqualmie Falls. This is a mere 25 minutes from Bellevue...
