My apartment is on the eastside of
the Seattle area, in Bellevue. Cross the street and you're in Redmond,
and the southern edge of the sprawling Microsoft campus is a couple of
blocks north. These environs
are about 3 miles east of downtown Bellevue. Bellevue is just to the
east of Seattle, the two being separated by Lake Washington. The
locals call this section of Bellevue / Redmond "Overlake," after
the fact that it is a height of land situated between Lake Washington and Lake
Sammamish. The "Crossroads" area is a block to the south.

south of NE 20th Ave, north of NE 8th St...
