After lunching with the Chang group, who have described themselves as "Crest Whitening People," I headed east toward Leavenworth... over the Cascade Mountains, crossing at Stevens Pass...

 

       

 

     

 

Descending the eastern slope, along the Wenatchee River...

 

 

Leavenworth, Washington...

 

Upon reaching Leavenworth I decided to continue eastward, following the Wenatchee River to its communication with the Columbia River at Wenatchee...

John, Jeannie, and Baby Josie arrived in Leavenworth Thursday afternoon, accompanied by John's parents and grandmother from North Carolina. We enjoyed a fine German dinner, and I attended an accordion concert afterwards...
