The Thing From The Pacific, December 2001

  

 

I stumbled across The Thing on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, north of Aberdeen, Washington, on Sunday, December 9, 2001. I didn't know what it was, but I felt strangely drawn to it...

 

Upon arriving back at my lodge, The Thing became somewhat aggressive...

 

The next day I attempted a forced hibernation...

 

The following evening it started making noises... I put it outside...

 

Then along came Gumby and Pokey... Thermal imaging surveillance technology produced startling images...

 

More thermal surveillance the following night caught Gumby & Pokey making use of a spoon to gain entry into my lodge...

 

From deep within its fiber, The Thing apparently sensed a way back to the Pacific Ocean from whence it came. I now realize that Gumby & Pokey were just trying to help. As The Thing slithered down the portal, Lizard came forward to keep the two Good Samaritans, distraught with bitter sweet grief, from hanging on to their vanishing friend…

 

Gumby and Pokey still wait, hoping against the odds that their friend, The Thing from the Pacific, will return...
