Tea With Atsuko, August 19, 2001
 
The Queen Mary Tearoom in Seattle's U-District, featuring a wide variety of teas and fresh-baked treats. Atsuko (from Mamasan) and I partook of a formal afternoon tea. Along with the tea a three-tier tray was brought to the table, heaped with scones, tea cakes, lemon curd tarts, sugar cookies, and finger sandwiches... everything baked by "Queen Mum"...

We sat beside the graveyard across the street from the Queen Mary, where Atsuko continued to share the pages of her scrapbook...
 
The ferry to Bainbridge Island...
